GRAMMY-winning rock icons Los Fabulosos Cadillacs make their long-awaited debut UK show on Thursday 29th April at London’s Troxy, where rock artists including Flaming Lips and Morrissey have recently performed.
Los Fabulosos Cadillacs are one of Latin music’s most influential bands, who initially  introduced ska to a new generation of rockers in their native Argentina 25 years ago, and became Latin American stars following their hit ‘Matador’, which went on to become MTV Latin America’s No. 2 song of all-time—right behind Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’. 

Their genre-blending style and incredible reputation led to collaborations with a variety of stars including Mick Jones (of The Clash), Deborah Harry (Blondie), Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth (of the Talking Heads), Fishbone, Celia Cruz and Ruben Blades, but just as their ascent to international fame started to take shape, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs went on a hiatus  and never hinted at a reunion.

In 2008, the band announced their return and a new release, ‘La Luz del Ritmo’ (The Light of Rhythm). The album was a hit with critics in the US and Latin America and reached the top of the iTunes and other charts in those markets.

With this recent tour, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs have sold over a million tickets to their “Satanico Pop Tour", which has so far taken them across Latin America and the USA. The album received a Grammy nomination for ‘Best Alternative, Rock or Urban Album’ category, and ‘Album of the Year’ at Latin America’s Premio Lo Nuestro awards.

They will play their first-ever UK show at London’s Troxy where the band plans to revisit their finest repertoire anthems such as “Mal Bicho” and “Matador”, and new repertoire including the cumbia infused hit “Padre Nuestro”. Highly recommended!
